Mom Guilt Seshhh
Wednesday Nov 20, 2019
Wednesday Nov 20, 2019
Mom guilt is weighing heavy on Morgen and Trisha this week. They’ve been struggling with juggling the many roles they play in their lives while also trying to navigate the newfound tantrums that have emerged in their little independent ladies. Are we doing enough for our kids? Are we providing enough stimulation and activities? The constant questioning of our parenting abilities can send us deep into the tunnel of mom guilt.
Breakdowns lead to breakthroughs, and us moms (dads, and really everyone), must take care of ourselves first! If we’re going to be who we need to be for ourselves, our children, spouse, family, employer/employee, and friends, we need to dedicate a certain amount of time to just us.
You are enough! So pick your head up, brush the mom guilt away and make time for you! Everyone will benefit from it.

Part Two: The Aftermath of The 1st Birthday's
Wednesday Nov 13, 2019
Wednesday Nov 13, 2019
It's official; our girls are a year old, and the parties are behind us.
Get ready to hear about the best modern-day thank you card and our entertaining smash cake experiences. Are you one to get carried away with the details? You're not alone, and Morgen has the balloon tying flesh wound to prove it. Kid zones are essential for these 1st birthdays, so create some penguin bowling or a ball pit area and watch the little ones go wild.
We both give a hell yes to our decision to cater at our home parties, but a big ol' thumbs down to the party 'no-shows'!
This week's momfessions prove that mom brain could turn you into a kleptomaniac, and not being very tech-savvy could be a bigger problem than you bargained for.
Charlie and Remi's 1st birthday parties were much like their first year of life. There were highs and lows, but overall we couldn't have asked for a better time.

Part One: Party Themes, Penguin Bowling, Tutus, and Smash Cakes!
Wednesday Nov 06, 2019
Wednesday Nov 06, 2019
Charlie and Remi are turning 1, let the birthday party planning commence!
Although Morgen & Trisha want it to be special, they’re not going overboard. Both are navigating how to have a small, yet simple parties at their homes with family and close friends. They weigh the pros and cons of cooking versus catering, and both would agree that getting the house professionally cleaned is the way to go, even if you're embarrassed for the cleaners to see the state of your home!
The girl's birthday outfits are, without a doubt, one of the hottest topics. But let's talk smash cakes! Smash cakes are all the rave, and while Trisha plans on making a healthy version for Remi, Morgen recruited a high-school student who is the next Martha Stewart.
This week is all about food, party themes, headbands, penguin bowling, and tutus.

The Things People Say
Wednesday Oct 30, 2019
Wednesday Oct 30, 2019
Today we share our stories about "the things people say". It ranges from outright appalling to some of the best advice that we've received... and everything in between.
Our guest today is no stranger to being the recipient to some odd comments from strangers, as well as family. Melissa is a mom of 3 who's family thinks 1 boy isn't enough and she should try for more.
Once you're pregnant, the parental advice comes rolling in. Buying wine pregnant? Be prepared for the presumptuous patron who tells you not to drink it. As a mother, you deal with your fair share of comments, but what if your child is approached?
Listen in as we discuss the best advice we received before a C-section, and the best gift a new mom could use.

Talk Food To Me
Wednesday Oct 23, 2019
Wednesday Oct 23, 2019
Morgen and Trisha are joined by their foodie mom friend Rebecca, who has her own two monsters and a day job. Listen in as we discuss when to start on solids, signs they’re ready, and how to tackle the overwhelming feeling that comes with starting the process. We pair wine and food for the Mama’s and herbs and foods for the babes.
Are you brave enough for baby-led weaning? Get your CPR training in because the choking hazard is real, and if you’re like us, you’ll have the joy of putting your skills into practice in public. Pizza crust anyone?
There is also the dreaded food allergies, signs to look for, and what to do. Think about a food face painting session, and if your baby does have a reaction to food, learn from us and take the food away!
We cover cooking kits, baby food delivery services, the struggle with unhealthy children’s menus at restaurants, and how to fix the mistake of liquefying your baby food purée... looks like they’re drinking their breakfast!
Laugh with us as we navigate the road of foods, and bring a bib, it’s going to get messy.

Boobs, Mamma's Milk, and How We Got Through Breastfeeding
Wednesday Oct 16, 2019
Wednesday Oct 16, 2019
One of the most common things new moms talk about is labor and the struggle of breastfeeding. Morgen and Trisha went into breastfeeding with their eyes wide open, but no two babies, breasts, or nursing story is the same, and they still found some bumps in the road.
Are you a leaker or a non-leaker? Do you have one good side that produces more milk or hurts less? How do you know if you're producing enough?
Every topic is covered from how truly aligned you and your partner are on breastfeeding in public, the real deal with nursing a babe with freshly sprouted teeth, milk baths, to the healing effects of breastmilk, as well as inverted nipples, and the creative positions you will get into just to get some nipple relief. Oh, and we can't forget the post nursing fear of boob sag! No, thank you!
Get ready for nipple shields, warming pads, nipple butter, and all the trials, tribulations, and wins they experienced with breastfeeding.

Sleep teaching, sleep training, or whatever you want to call it, can be so challenging, especially if you have kids like ours who didn't sleep through the night after a few months. Add to the mix, different parenting ideas (Cry It Out, Ferber Method) on how best to get your child to sleep, combined with your own lack of sleep, pumping in the middle of the night, and the transition from 3 naps to 2, equals a fun time. Good news, we have been there, and we got through the sleep hurdle, so will you.
