Toddlers Say and Do the Darndest Things

Alright, Morgen and Trisha might have only realized this once they started recording, but the funny things the girls do are perhaps not as amusing as they are cute unless you see them in the act. Haha whoops.

The hope is that this episode stirs up some of your own memories and makes you smile just hearing the joy in Morgen and Trisha’s voices as they recall the funny things that the girls are doing right now. Toddlers truly say and do the darndest things.

As moms of 2-year-olds, they often hear other mothers with older children say how they miss the toddler stage. If only we could bottle it up and save it forever.

Lil' Mama-sode: Mommy-Daughter Date Ideas with our Toddlers

Running errands which led to Charlie trying her first strawberry milkshake, opened the door to wondering what kind of mommy-daughter dates we can make happen? Morgen and Trisha dish about all the ideas they have for the mommy-daughter dates. The girls are getting older and will begin remembering these moments, so they want to start now. Plus, parents of two can relate to children having to share their parents and carving out time for both kiddos. Eventually, Morgen and Trisha want to create actual dates with the girls like a firehouse excursion, princess day with manicures & pedicures, a day at a local animal rescue farm, a tea party, and indoor gyms. These mamas need the girls to get their energy out, so something active is a must at some point in each date.

The Toddlers are on the Mic: Charlie and Remi Give a Toddler's Perspective

Get ready for cuteness overload! Morgen and Trisha put Charlie & Remi on the microphone in this episode, and it’s so stinkin’ adorable. Listen in as this one is toddler-led, and the two-year-olds are taking over with talking, singing, pure goofiness, and answering questions in the way only toddlers can. Their sweet little voices will melt your heart and also have you asking for a toddler translator at times.

Both Jacen and Phil are instrumental in the morning routine and getting the girls out the door on time. They make breakfast and lunch, and we're talking about writing notes for the teachers when food needs to be heated and cutting strawberries like hearts near Valentine's Day. That's just a few of the ones worth mentioning. 

Morgen and Trisha share stories about the special bond both Phil and Jacen have with Charlie, Remi, and Jack. The unique ways they play and let the kids know how much they love and care for them.

Making Memories That Will Last, with Family Trips

Road and family trips seem like a thing of the past. With Covid vaccines and hopes on the horizon, they thought they’d air this episode (that they recorded over a year ago). They reminisce about their upbringing in hopes of recreating similar memories with Remi and Charlie.

They share some great stories about the family trips both Morgen and Trisha went on and the things that stick out in their minds from the family time together. Bike riding, camping, hiking, and cross country skiing are activities that they both remember doing. It’s interesting how you’d hate aspects of these trips as a kid, but as an adult, it’s what made it a memory and one you’ve grown to love! Morgen used to fly solo to visit family and friends, while Trisha would have long weekends with her Aunts and Uncles. Listen in to hear their stories about fake horse galloping, farting, movie binging, what to do in the event of a bear, and laughing, always lots of laughing.

Girlfriend Talk: The Truth About Pregnancy

Lauren, Trisha's cousin, is fresh out of pregnancy number two and joins Morgen (who is ready to pop) as well as Trisha to discuss all the truths of pregnancy that only your girlfriends would tell you.

While we all might know about the usual pregnancy symptoms like sensitivity to smell, trouble sleeping, food cravings, larger breasts, and peeing more, listen in to hear about the things you might not have heard.

The thorn in Morgen’s side is trying to get Charlie dressed every day while Trisha’s revolves around hanger (angry due to being hungry) issues.

Have you been experiencing toddler meltdowns over the most minuscule thing ever, and then suddenly a complete 180 (sometimes even a giggle included), leaving you wondering what in the eff just occurred?!? Yup, bewildered parents, another sign that you have a toddler.

Snippity Do Dah Snippity Day

How could inappropriate banter not be a part of an episode about vasectomies, or snippity-do-dah's as Trisha and her husband, Jacen, started to refer to them as? Jacen walks through every step of the process, from the endless YouTube videos he watched before the procedure to the recovery afterward and everything in between.

You'll most likely find yourself wincing when Jacen delves into the details of the procedure. Whether you have balls or not, it just sounds painful. Since we're on the topic, did you know an ergonomically designed ice pack was explicitly made for vasectomies? Yup, it turned out to be a very worthy purchase indeed.

Only Children Aren't Doomed, the Pros and Cons

Only children aren't doomed! Morgen speaks about being an only child while Trisha talks about having only one baby considering the 14 year age gap between Remi and her brother Jack.

Morgen reflects on her school days and growing up, even into adulthood, of friends asking about wanting or having a sibling. She didn't think about it until her 20's, and it's a perspective you'll want to hear about.

Trisha speaks of her gratitude for her family and takes advantage of Remi's moments, knowing she is the one and only, and wanting to embrace every moment with her.
