Dreaming of a Post Covid Life
Wednesday Feb 03, 2021
Wednesday Feb 03, 2021
We think we speak for anyone plagued with Covid when we say it’s time to dream about life after it is over! Morgen and Trisha gush about all the things they’re looking forward to doing. Does anyone remember movie theaters? It feels like ages, although they also have 2-year-olds, so that was a thing of the past before Covid hit anyway.
Ahh, being able to just go outside and do what you want when you want feels like such a luxury. Spontaneously meeting up with friends or having people over will be so fun. We dream of being able to do day trips, taking the kiddos to parks, indoor gyms, aquariums, and, dare we say, hugging friends again. How about eating at restaurants?! A date night or spa day?!?! Yes, please!
What are you most looking forward to doing? Morgen and Trisha would love to hear from you at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com

Baby Showers Now (Covid Time) and Pre-Covid Times
Wednesday Jan 20, 2021
Wednesday Jan 20, 2021
Oh, what a difference two and a half years makes. Morgen and Trisha reflect back to their baby showers. Back when friends and family could gather freely to celebrate the welcomed addition of a sweet new baby. They talk not only about what they loved about their showers and the personalized details that went into them... cupcakes, views of the outdoors, and woodland themes, to name a few. Trisha shares a genius idea about unwrapping gifts and taking the awkwardness out of having all eyes focused on you during this time.
This episode isn't just a reflection of their own baby showers, but a reflection on how the Covid pandemic has made virtual showers the new norm. Morgen shares how a friend's virtual shower was made special despite the virtual aspect.
Do you have thoughts on baby sprinkles? Morgen and Trisha dive into their feelings on them, as Morgen is expecting her second baby. To have a sprinkle or not to have a sprinkle?
Do you have other genius ideas that are a must for a baby shower, or have you been to a virtual shower that was awkward? Share with the ladies of the show at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com

Wednesday Jan 13, 2021
Wednesday Jan 13, 2021

Warning: some of these activities are designed for the Little's yet require guidance and involvement. A.k.a, you may be getting just as much of a workout, if not more than them. Painters tape is inexpensive and the most versatile item to create a slew of indoor activities. Listen in for all of Morgen and Trisha's suggestions on how to use it. Other of their ideas involve multipurpose learning. Can you say a win-win? Household tasks are some of Charlie's and Remi's favorite activities, so the ladie's of the show channel that and put them to work around the house. Score!

A Mom of a Time, You Asked, and we Answered
Wednesday Jan 06, 2021
Wednesday Jan 06, 2021
Morgen and Trisha loved one of their listener emails so much they wanted to share it and tackle Laurel's questions and concerns about her two-year-old son, Liam. Boy, can we all relate to this one!
Children in the 2-year-old age range learn independence and express themselves, so possession of their toys and other items is a natural and expected behavior. "Mine" might be the most used word at this age, possibly even followed by a tantrum, which is always fun... NOT!
It can make you want to pull your hair out from your child's constant need for attention, saying your name over and over again until you acknowledge them, even though you're on a work call and trying to cook at the same time?!? Yup, we hear you. It's hard not to lose your cool but reminding yourself that they are learning how to behave and what manners mean can make it easier to respond the way you'd like them to start acting and learning.
Choices, choices, choices is another thing that has been an extremely helpful tool to use. Offering choices will yield the result you're looking for and allow your child to feel empowered by being able to make a choice themselves.
Listen in to hear how Morgen and Trisha combat biting, and please do share your own experiences with them; Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. They love hearing from their listeners. Thanks again, Laurel, for your flattery and fantastic email. We hope we helped!

The REAL Holiday Card, you Would Never Send to Family and Friends
Wednesday Dec 23, 2020
Wednesday Dec 23, 2020
This episode is about the REAL holiday cards and letters that nobody would ever send! Forget the Hallmark stuff, full of fluff. Morgen and Trisha talk about what 2020 really looked like for them and what their letters to all their dear friends and family would look like. What would you include in there?!
Morgen would get real with what really goes on with IVF while also pursuing a new career, being pregnant, being a mom to a toddler, and going back to school for her certification in teaching... because it’s fun to see how much you can pile on your plate, haha.
Trisha had a doozy of a March with Covid hitting and Jacen losing his job, only to fast forward to September for him to lose it again. Anyone like rollercoasters?! This is one Trisha would like to get off of!
In this episode, they talk about needing vacations from family vacations, having only one child-free day away in 2 years when what you could really use is a week, bleeding spells, and all the other things that make life real but that you usually keep to yourself.
You know where to share your real year-end stories... momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Ciao 2020!

Virtual Learning for Preschoolers, High Schoolers, Teachers and as a Parent
Wednesday Dec 16, 2020
Wednesday Dec 16, 2020
This should really be called the “I don’t know” episode because trying to figure out how virtual learning will work is still such an unknown. Is it for you? Have you figured it out or mastered a plan, because if so we’d love to hear it at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com
Morgen dives into some virtual learning that her Montessori school has planned the week after thanksgiving, including activity packages that the kids get sent home with and virtual circle. Trisha talks about how virtual learning has been for Jack in high school, and she’s glad he has his car to keep him busy on the off hours since he is such a hands-on learner.
Although Covid has been around for nearly a year now, adjusting to the virtual learning while balancing work and everything else is still a challenge, at least for Morgen and Trisha.
Thanks for being a loyal subscriber and listener. See you next week. Ciao!

Two Year Wellness Visits and all Things That are New Being Two
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
It's time for the TWO year wellness visit. Speaking of time, it is going by too fast, and these munchkins are growing like weeds, off the charts, apparently.
Listen in to hear how Remi and Charlie's two-year check-ups compared. Their visits couldn't have been more opposite in the sense that Trisha went with Remi and was beaming with pride at how she handled the whole visit, literally putting her finger out to draw blood again so she could get another Band-aid. Watching the tech give her shots or squeeze blood out of her finger and collect it in a vile. What a trooper! Meanwhile, poor Charlie girl's nurse had a rough go at finding her vein for blood work, so much so Phil left in frustration. It was daddy's day, so Morgen wasn't there, figures right... let's be honest, nobody can compete with the comfort of a mama llama, or at least that's what we tell ourselves.
Morgen and Trisha talk through vitamins, bloodwork, vaccines, car seats, weight & height, sleep... oh and MOLARS. Oh, and wait until you hear a small paragraph of Charlie's 2463 page doctors report... kidding, but talk about THOROUGH! It's impressive.
Thank you as always for subscribing, rating, and sharing us with your friends and families. All you listeners out there, you're rockstars!!

What's Your Baby Prediction, Boy or Girl?
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
What would having a baby be like if you didn't run through all the old wives' tales to predict the sex of the baby? Kind of boring, haha!
Morgen and Trisha have some fun with Morgen's looming due date, as they rattle off all the usual, and not so usual, methods people use to guess whether you'll be having a boy or a girl.
Probably the most popular is how a mother is carrying, is it all belly? Probably a boy. Carrying low and wide, most likely a girl.
Have any cravings? Is one breast bigger than the other? How about your heart rate? Yup, all those things can apparently help people in predicting the sex of a baby.
Let's get to the obscure though. Get a cup ready because there are many old wives' tales involving mama's urine. Yep, you heard us, urine. Add baking soda or red cabbage water... that's right, boil red cabbage and save that water to mix into your pee. Listen in to hear what the results mean, whether it's a boy or a girl.
Happy predicting, and send us any fun ways of predicting the sex of the baby so we can try them out on Morgen's expanding belly! Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com

The Baby Registry Must-Have List
Wednesday Nov 25, 2020
Wednesday Nov 25, 2020
Morgen and Trisha deep dive into the products they loved and feel were must-haves on their baby registries. We're talking big-ticket items down to the little items we couldn't live without.
Morgen was one of those mama's testing everything out in the store, and Trisha got lucky with trusted hand me downs, so she just needed to fill in the gaps.
Two of Trisha's favorite items were her Hussh infant hanging crib and her Earth Mama diaper balm. Morgen swoops in with some products you might not think of, like poop bags for those blow out days and the SoCozy shampoo and conditioner for the little's with the curliest of hair.
Morgen swears by Dreft stain remover while Trisha's go-to is Oxyclean, but they both would agree that having something on hand to get out those tough stains is a must-have!
This is a must-have episode, whether you're expecting or know anyone with a babe on the way. What is that one item you would suggest to parents of newborns? Please share your ideas with Morgen and Trisha at monjeansandminivans@yahoo.com as Morgen is epxecting her 2nd babe in March.
...Until next time.

Covid Holiday Plans for 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
What are the holidays looking like for you and yours while Covid is still such a threat?
Morgen and Trisha discuss what the holidays are looking like for them. Large gatherings don’t seem to be something they both will be doing; however, Trisha and her family plan to meet with her two sisters, their immediate families, and their parents to spend a week at a rental house together. Quarantining and Covid tests will be taken before going... but this might become a new annual tradition.
Speaking of traditions, Morgen is debating about having her annual holiday party, and she is sadly leaning towards not having it. She’s making up for it by ramping up the holiday traditions, one of which is pajamas arriving from Mrs. Clause before Christmas... pretty sure Trisha is going to steal that idea.
It seems virtual parties will be the new rave, and more drive-through Christmas light shows are popping up everywhere. Wonder what new and creative ideas people will be coming up with to celebrate the holidays and the new year?
Please do share your holiday plans and traditions with Morgen & Trisha at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Cheers!
